Our Digital Student Support Assistant (DSSA) is ready to help with all your technology questions and concerns. Whether you’re picking up a laptop for the very first time or you’re just curious about digital resources on campus, the DSSA is a valuable resource for students of all technological backgrounds. 

Just a few things the DSSA can help with:

  • Beginner digital literacy
  • Setting up your VIU computer account
  • Secure Wi-Fi access on campus for all your devices
  • Navigating VIULearn
  • Microsoft Office access for students
  • Scanning documents
  • Formatting documents
  • Troubleshooting technology issues

This is just a list of the common questions, but your DSSA is always up for a technological challenge so don’t hesitate to ask if you want some help with any of the digital components of being a student. 

Our DSSA is located on the Nanaimo campus but serves students at our Cowichan and tiwšɛmawtxʷ campuses as well. They can be reached by phone, text, email, zoom, and in-person.
